The Dynamics of Indigenous Social Capital in Agrarian Conflict Mitigation in the Digital Era

Agrarian conflicts in the digital era have transformed how Indigenous communities build solidarity, expand networks, access institutions, and represent their territories. This study aimed to analyze the dynamics of Indigenous social capital in agrarian conflict mitigation and formulate a conceptual framework explaining the reconfiguration of social relations through digital technologies. A qualitative library research design employing meta-ethnography synthesized 70 conceptually rich qualitative articles published between 2017 and 2025. The literature was systematically selected and analyzed through thematic coding, reciprocal translation, refutational translation, and line-of-argument synthesis. The findings identified five interconnected dimensions: bonding-based territorial cohesion, digitally mediated bridging networks, institutional linking capacity, community-controlled territorial data, and hybrid conflict mitigation action. The principal finding demonstrated that community control over territorial data functioned as a relational resource connecting internal legitimacy, digital advocacy, and institutional access. The study developed Digital-Relational Indigenous Social Capital Dynamics, which shifted the understanding of social capital from a stock of networks toward a dynamic relational capacity and provided an analytical framework for digitally networked agrarian conflict mitigation centered on community control and the integration of online and offline action.
