Archiving Policy
Ardi Academic Multidisciplinary Journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published scholarly content. The journal recognizes that digital preservation is an essential component of scholarly publishing, ensuring that published articles remain permanently accessible to researchers, academics, practitioners, and the public, even in the event of technological changes, website failures, or discontinuation of publication.
To support the long-term integrity of the scholarly record, the journal implements digital archiving strategies that comply with internationally recognized standards for electronic preservation.
Digital Preservation
The journal is committed to preserving all published articles through reliable digital preservation systems. Published content is maintained in secure electronic formats and stored on multiple servers to reduce the risk of data loss and to ensure long-term accessibility.
The Editorial Office periodically monitors and maintains the journal's digital infrastructure to ensure the integrity and availability of all archived content.
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
Ardi Academic Multidisciplinary Journal supports long-term digital preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), where available. The PKP PN provides decentralized preservation services for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, ensuring that published content remains accessible even if the journal website becomes unavailable.
The journal will enable and maintain participation in the PKP Preservation Network whenever the necessary technical and eligibility requirements are fulfilled.
LOCKSS and CLOCKSS
Where applicable, the journal supports participation in recognized digital preservation initiatives such as:
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
- CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS)
These preservation systems provide distributed archiving by maintaining multiple secure copies of published content across geographically dispersed servers, thereby ensuring long-term preservation and accessibility.
Institutional and Local Archiving
In addition to external preservation services, the journal maintains secure local backups of all published content. Editorial files, published articles, and journal metadata are periodically backed up and stored on secure institutional storage systems to safeguard against accidental loss or technical failure.
