Publication Ethics
Ardi Pengabdian Masyarakat is a peer-reviewed scientific journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in scholarly publishing. This publication ethics statement is based on the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and serves as a guideline for editors, reviewers, authors, and publishers involved in the publication process.
All parties are expected to uphold ethical standards to ensure the quality, credibility, transparency, and integrity of published scholarly works.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to Jurnal Ardi Pengabdian Masyarakat are expected to:
Originality
Submit original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal.
Accuracy of Reporting
Present accurate, complete, and objective descriptions of community service activities, implementation methods, outcomes, and impacts without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
Data Integrity
Maintain accurate records of data and supporting evidence and provide them when requested by the editorial board.
Multiple or Concurrent Submission
Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Properly acknowledge all sources of information, literature, data, figures, and ideas used in the manuscript.
Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the conception, implementation, analysis, or writing of the manuscript.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation of the work.
Ethical Community Engagement
Community service activities involving human participants must respect ethical principles, including voluntary participation, privacy, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and community welfare.
Corrections
Authors must promptly notify the editor if significant errors are identified after publication and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of all published articles.
Editors shall:
- Make publication decisions based solely on scholarly merit, originality, significance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
- Evaluate manuscripts without discrimination regarding race, gender, religion, nationality, political belief, or institutional affiliation.
- Maintain confidentiality throughout the editorial process.
- Ensure a fair, objective, and unbiased peer-review process.
- Avoid conflicts of interest.
- Take appropriate action in cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, or other forms of research misconduct.
- Issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern whenever necessary.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the scientific quality of the journal.
Reviewers are expected to:
- Conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and constructively.
- Provide clear, evidence-based, and timely evaluations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all manuscript information.
- Identify relevant published works not cited by the authors.
- Inform the editor of any substantial similarity between the manuscript and previously published works.
- Decline review assignments when conflicts of interest exist.
Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts based on:
- Originality
- Scientific quality
- Methodological rigor
- Practical contribution
- Community impact
- Clarity of presentation
- Ethical compliance
Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions remain independent from commercial interests.
The publisher shall:
- Support editorial independence.
- Maintain the integrity of the publication process.
- Prevent unethical publishing practices.
- Preserve published articles permanently.
- Cooperate with editors in addressing allegations of publication misconduct.
Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers based on:
- Originality
- Relevance
- Scientific quality
- Methodological appropriateness
- Community service innovation
- Practical contribution
- Clarity of presentation
Editorial decisions are based on reviewers' recommendations and the Editor-in-Chief's final judgment.
Publication Malpractice
Ardi Pengabdian Masyarakat does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including but not limited to:
- Plagiarism
- Self-plagiarism
- Duplicate publication
- Simultaneous submission
- Data fabrication
- Data falsification
- Image manipulation
- Citation manipulation
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
- Improper authorship
- Artificial manipulation of peer review
Any allegation of misconduct will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines. Appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, publication correction, article retraction, notification to the author's institution, or other corrective measures.
Plagiarism Policy
Every submitted manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process.
The journal applies the following standards:
- Similarity Index: Maximum 25%
- Similarity from a single source: Maximum 5%
Manuscripts exceeding these thresholds may be returned for revision or rejected at the editor's discretion.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any financial, academic, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the publication process.
Individuals with conflicts of interest should refrain from participating in editorial decisions or peer review concerning the affected manuscript.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright of their published work while granting Ardi Pengabdian Masyarakat the right of first publication.
All articles published in this journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) License. Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
When significant errors or ethical issues are identified, the journal may publish:

Such actions will follow the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
