Plagiarism Screening
Ardi Pengabdian Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Originality is a fundamental requirement for every manuscript submitted to the journal. Therefore, all manuscripts undergo a plagiarism screening process before entering the peer review stage to ensure that the submitted work is original and properly acknowledges the intellectual contributions of others.
The journal considers plagiarism in any form to be a serious violation of publication ethics and will take appropriate editorial action against manuscripts found to contain unethical similarities.
Originality Requirement
Authors are required to submit manuscripts that:
- Represent original scholarly work.
- Have not been previously published in any journal, conference proceedings, or book, except in the form of abstracts or preprints where permitted.
- Are not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
- Properly acknowledge all sources through accurate citation and referencing.
- Comply with accepted standards of academic integrity.
Submission of a manuscript implies that the authors affirm the originality of the work.
Plagiarism Detection
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before the editorial evaluation and peer review process.
The plagiarism screening aims to identify:
- Direct plagiarism.
- Self-plagiarism.
- Mosaic plagiarism.
- Patchwork plagiarism.
- Unattributed quotations.
- Duplicate publication.
- Excessive textual similarity.
- Improper citation practices.
If necessary, the Editorial Board may conduct additional manual assessments to evaluate the context of detected similarities.
Similarity Threshold
The journal applies the following similarity limits:

The similarity report is evaluated qualitatively by the Editorial Board. A higher similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism, and a lower score does not necessarily guarantee originality. Editorial judgment considers the nature, location, and context of the similarities.
Editors and reviewers are expected to protect the confidentiality of all submitted materials.
