Lexa: Journal of Legal Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal adheres to the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher to uphold ethical conduct and academic integrity.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to Lexa: Journal of Legal Studies are expected to:

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, objective, and transparent editorial process. Editors shall:

Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher

Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, or inappropriate citation practices will be rejected. Where plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections or retract the article in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any relationships, financial interests, institutional affiliations, or personal circumstances that could influence—or appear to influence—the objectivity of the publication process. Authors retain copyright of their published work while granting Lexa: Journal of Legal Studies the right of first publication. All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
